Джо Коккер

John Robert "Joe" Cocker, OBE (Order of the British Empire) was an English rock and blues singer and musician who came to popularity in the 1960s. He was known for his gritty voice, spasmodic body movement in performance. Cocker was born on 20 May 1944 at 38 Tasker Road, Crookes, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He was the youngest son of a civil servant, Harold Cocker, and Madge Cocker. According to differing family stories, Cocker received his nickname of Joe either from playing a childhood game called "Cowboy Joe", or from a local window cleaner named Joe. Cocker's first experience singing in public was at age 12 when his elder brother Victor invited him on stage to sing during a gig of his group. In 1960, along with three friends, Cocker formed his first group, the Cavaliers. For the group's first performance at a youth club, they were required to pay the price of admission. In 1961, under the stage name Vance Arnold, Cocker continued his career with a new group, Vance Arnold and the Avengers. In 1966, after a year-long hiatus from music, Cocker teamed up with Chris Stainton, whom he had met several years before, to form the Grease Band. Like the Avengers, Cocker's group mostly played in pubs in and around Sheffield. At the end of 1973, Cocker recorded a new album, I Can Stand A Little Rain. The album, released in August 1974, was number 11 on the US charts.  In January 1975, he released a second album. Throughout the 1980s, Cocker continued to tour around the world, playing to large audiences in Europe, Australia and the United States. In 1993 Cocker was nominated for the British Award for Best British Male, in 2007 was awarded a bronze Sheffield Legends plaque in his hometown, and in 2008 he received an OBE at Buckingham Palace for services to music.
Private Life
In 1963, Cocker began dating Eileen Webster, also a resident of Sheffield. The couple dated intermittently for the next 13 years, and separated permanently in 1976.In 1978, Cocker moved onto a ranch owned in Santa Barbara, California. Pam Baker, a local summer camp director and fan of Cocker's music, persuaded the actress to lend the house to Cocker. Baker began dating Cocker, and they married on 11 October 1987. The couple resided on the Mad Dog Ranch in Crawford, Colorado.
Cocker died of lung cancer on 22 December 2014. The two living Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, were among those who paid tribute to the singer, while Cocker's agent, Barrie Marshall, said that Cocker was "without doubt the greatest rock/soul singer ever to come out of Britain.

Sometimes love can't explain
Each and every rule of the game
Still remains a mystery to me
By any other name
Why she can't make up her mind
While he decides to stay
While one surrenders
And the other one's away
But it's too much to understand
Still a man loves a woman; and
When a woman loves a man
A woman loves a man
She does what she can do
He does the best he can
When a woman loves a man
A woman loves a man
She does what she can do
He does the best he can
And I look into her eyes
When the world is out of hand
And I'm so happy
When a woman loves a man
When a woman loves a man
A woman loves a man.....
A woman loves a man
No moon tonight
No nothing to guide me
Still I will find her
Standing beside me
No moon tonight
There's nothing to guide me
But still I will find her
Standing beside me
Theres darkness everywhere
Still I'll find her
Standing beside me
Standing beside me
She's a woman of strength
He's a man of conviction
But sometimes the truth
Is stronger than fiction
When a woman loves a man
A woman loves a man
She does what she can do
He does the best he can
When a woman loves a man
When that woman loves a man
She does what she can do
He does the best he can
No moon tonight
No nothing to guide me
Still I will find her
Standing beside me
No moon tonight
No nothing to guide me
Still I will find her
Standing beside me
No moon tonight
Nothing to guide me
Still I will find her
Standing beside me
When a woman loves a man
A woman loves a man
She does what she can do
But I do all I can...
When a woman loves a man...

День снега

Snow is precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice that falls from clouds. Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft, white, and fluffy structure, unless subjected to external pressure. A snowflake is either a single ice crystal or an aggregation of ice crystals which falls through the Earth's atmosphere.  Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Complex shapes emerge as the flake moves through differing temperature and humidity regimes, such that individual snowflakes are nearly unique in structure. Snowflakes encapsulated in rime form balls known as graupel. Snowflakes appear white in color despite being made of clear ice. This is due to diffuse reflection of the whole spectrum of light by the small crystal facets. A snowflake consists of roughly water molecules, which are added to its core at different rates and in different patterns. As a result, it is extremely difficult to encounter two identical snowflakes. Initial attempts to find identical snowflakes by photographing thousands their images under a microscope from 1885 onward by Wilson Alwyn Bentley found the wide variety of snowflakes we know about today. The process of precipitating snow is called snowfall. Types that fall in the form of a ball due to melting and refreezing, rather than a flake, are known as hail, ice pellets or snow grains.
