Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll was born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson at Daresbury in Chesire, on 27 January 1832. He was an English author, mathematician, logician, anglican deacon and photographer. Lewis Carroll is most famous for his story, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, published in 1865. It was written for Alice, the daughter of a friend. His other writings included the sequel 'Through the Looking-Glass' as well as the poems "The Hunting of the Snark" and "Jabberwocky".The poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll, is considered by many to be one of the greatest nonsense poems written in the English language. It was originally featured as a part of his novel 'Through the Looking-Glass', and 'What Alice Found There' (1871).
